Cordless Headphones: Pros and Cons

One of the first things I would want to know if I were considering buying a new pair of cordless headphones would be what are the pros and cons or what are the benefits that I will get and what can I expect to be the downside.

More simply put – what is my trade-off? what do I need to compromise on (if anything)?

Here are the things that you need to be aware of HOWEVER let me say at the outset that that these are general comments and will not apply to some of the models of cordless headphones that are on the market at this moment in time.

Some of The Pros

1. Headphones that used standard batteries and won’t need constant replacing if the battery time usage on the product is efficient and effective.

2. Good quality products have sound quality that is excellent a strong bass strong, prominent mids are prominent and crisp highs will work well just with music as with television and gaming.

3. A simple easy to understand and administer charging system will save you countless hours in lost time. Simple is (mostly) better.

4. Most products deliver three connection adapters as standard so they’ll work with just about any TV, radio, stereo, DVD or game system.

5. Extended range of up to 300 feet without loss in sound quality.

A Sample of The Cons

1. If the Transmission Range is not very long you won’t won’t be allowed the flexibility that you thought the product would deliver (a major disappointment).

2. Rechargeable battery can only last me about two days until they need recharging again This is time spent which can also be money in lost time spent.

3. Some lower range sets can tend to look plastic and look a little bit cheap.

4. If a big enough object comes between the headphone and the transmitter it will cut out so the positioning of the transmitter is critical.

5. Especially on full size headphones if the bar is not padded and the phones have built-in springs the weight can be forced down on to the top of the head, this will cause some unease for session of long use.

6. Some older sets don’t offer RCA Audio output any longer which restricts usage.

7. Noise cancellation technology may not be included in the technology therefore you may suffer depending on what you have bought them to do.

It might be an obvious thing to say, and I don’t want to treat the reader with any disrespect however they must review each individual consideration against a back drop of the above in order to make as good as an informed decision as they are able to do before spending their money on a pair of cordless headphones.
